Default New Duo UW - D/Me and Monk

So, it seems that a lot of people liked to duo UW, but after the "SS nerf" people dont like it too much,
in this guide i hope to show you how to duo it, with a D/Me and a Monk. (the monk can be a hero)

Builds:

D/Me:
Skills:
1. Vow of Silence [E]
2. Mystic Regeneration
3. Mystic Vigor
4. Mystic Sweep
5. Eremite's Attack
6. Zealous Renewal
7. Optional attack skill
8. Illusion of Weakness

Attributes:
Scythe Mastery: 12+3+1
Earth Prayers: 5+3
Mythism: 11+3
Wind Prayers: 1+3
Illusion Magic: 4

Weapons:
1. Shocking Scythe of Enchanting
Lightning Damage: 9-41
Damage +15% while enchanted
Enchantments last 20% longer
Customised

(for any Warrior monsters, like Aatxes, or Graspings)

2. Zealous Scythe of Enchanting
Damage: 9-41
Damage +15% while enchanted
Energy gain on hit: 1
Energy Regeneration: -1
Enchantments last 20% longer
Customised

(for any non-warrior monsters)

Monk:
Skills:
1. Balthazar's Spirit
2. Strength of Honor
3. Mending
4. Protective Bond

(thats right, 4 skills, thats all the monk needs)

Attributes:
Smiting Prayers: 12+3+1
Healing Prayers: 12+3

Just the theory:
The Dervish uses Illusion of Weakness to get down to 29hp. And the Monk makes sure he can only take 5% max dmg, so thats only 1 damage (maximum) which is easy to heal off. The Monk's job is to protect the Dervish, and to increase the damage.

Now the guide:
So, the Dervish needs to tank, as you enter the UW the Monk casts enchantments then moves to the corner by the staircase (as shown in the picture). The Dervish then casts Illusion of Weakness, Mystic Regeneration, Zealous Renewal, then Vow of Silence and runs up the stairs the monk is by. All he need do is maintain Mystic Regeneration, and spam attack skills.
The Skill chain should be something like this:

Illusion of Weakness -> Mystic Regeneration -> Vow of Silence -> Mystic Sweep -> Eremite's Attack -> Mystic Sweep -> Eremite's Attack -> Mystic Sweep... etc.

So, you deal with the Aatxes this way. Once all of the Aatxes have been owned, the Monk moves to the center of the room. The Dervish takes the quest, and kills the Graspings, group by group. Once these have been killed you have 2 options, do the Ice Wastes, or do Twin Serpent Mountains.

The Ice Wastes:
It's pretty straight forward, take the route and then the Monk should stand back all the time, NEVER near the monsters. When you encounter a Coldfire Night, just use Vow of Silence when needed, but try not to fight them in the first place. If u must fight them, then fight in small groups, because you can't cast Mystic Regeneration with Vow of Silence on.

This is all i really know about, hope you enjoyed!

PS. Pictures and Videos coming soon

That's no true, as "you lose 6...4 energy or the spell ends."

This wouldn't work, protective bond would indeed end.

Why the hell post a build you didn't even test?

Why is everyone so focused on Prot Bond... Changing that to Prot Spirit *would* have worked if his logic about Illusion of Weakness wasn't so bad, that and melee chars hitting Aatxe to death can take a very long time with all the Ripostes...

Just stick with the VoS UW solo build...

Well prot bond can still work for a mo/w for UW solo, it just takes forever to kill anything.

Protective bond is near impossible to use for a solo build. It saps your energy too much so unless your getting a necro to constantly bip you or something, you won't have any energy to attack.

Not true, I have used prot bond effectively and never lost all of my energy, if you think about it, it is pretty simple to figure out. It works, but like I said, it will take forever since you have to kill with glads def. Now that enemies scatter from glads def, the run would take even longer, and it was about a 45 min run to begin with.

I love this post. "Not true, you can so use prot bond effectively...only you wont be able to kill stuff, unless it takes hours"
Do you know what "effective" means?

I HAVE effectively used prot bond, it just cannot be done solo effectively anymore since the glads def causes scatter and with the release of NF there are simply better options. You can still use the prot bond build in a duo effectively, but most people would most likely stick with prot spirit since that is what they are used to.
